The Energy and Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday approved a package from Chair Joe Manchin (I-W.Va.) and ranking member John Barrasso (R-Wyo.).
It includes provisions to bolster the electric grid and accelerate renewable energy projects. It also has provisions on oil and gas that would force the administration’s hand.
In a statement, a White House spokesperson said the administration wants to ensure clean energy and infrastructure projects “are built quickly and efficiently, reflect community input, and protect our environment and public health.”
