Activists with the group Sunrise Movement protested outside Ohio Republican Sen. JD Vance’s Senate office on Monday as they assailed the GOP vice presidential candidate’s climate record.

Dozens of young people occupied the hallway outside Vance’s Capitol Hill office, according to the Sunrise Movement, where they held signs that said, “Vance Profits, We Pay The Price,” “Billionaires Own JD Vance” and “Vance Stop Killing Green Jobs.”

The protest came two weeks after Former President Donald Trump announced Vance as his running mate and after Vance launched into the campaign deriding the Biden administration’s climate and energy policies as the “Green New Scam.”
